Who Are We?
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
I am the founder of OurSakeena – a heartfelt initiative born from a simple observation: finding a pious, compatible spouse within the Muslim community should not feel like a financial burdener a transactional experience.
Too often, our brothers and sisters are priced out of serious matrimonial searches. Single Parents, reverts, and hardworking families are left struggling with exorbitant monthly/quarterly/yearly fees just for the opportunity to find a suitable partner for their loved ones.
The Meaning Of Sakeena
Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:
“And one of His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, so that you may find comfort (Sakeena) in them. And He has placed between you compassion and mercy.Surely in this are signs for people who reflect” (Surah Ar-Rum, 30:21)
That Ayah is the soul of this platform.

As the owner, I have made a vow before Allah (SWT) that 10% of every single penny this business earns will be donated directly to help the poor and needy within our Muslim Community of Sri Lanka, This money will go towards
- Helping a struggling mother pay her rent
- Supporting a young revert who cannot afford basic necessities
- Supporting a child on his/her education who are less fortunate
Why do we do this? Because your search for marriage shouldn’t just benefit you—it should be a source of ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah. When you find your spouse through OurSakeena, you are also helping another struggling Muslim family survive. Your blessing becomes their blessing.
A Personal Note from the Owner
I started this business not to get rich, but to solve a problem I saw hurting my own community. I have seen too many good people struggling to find a suitable partner because they couldn’t afford the fees. I have also seen too many of our poor go hungry while wealthy marriage platforms profit millions.
So, I decided to connect the two. Your journey to love will fund someone else’s journey to hope.
